The Vecteur 100 from VeloVie Bicycles is a high-quality alternative to the more expensive, race-grade carbon fiber bicycles seen zipping around the cobblestone paths on France.
This is performance for casual or beginning cyclists -- those who prefer to enjoy the beautiful sport of cycling on a high-end bicycle, without the professional-grade price tags.
The Vecteur 100 features Alloy Road Technology allowing for a highly versatile and balanced ride of speed and comfort. It’s craftsmanship, components, and materials are neatly bound together to create this unique ride; usually you get lightweight or you get comfort – with the Vecteur 100, you get a strong dosage of both.
Frameset
The Vecteur 100 is designed around Alloy Road Technology, VeloVie’s proprietary frame construction methods that spring life to the “low weight/high comfort” ride quality. The frame features a lightweight #7005 grade aluminum construction; the greatest “strength to weight” ratio of any steel in the cycling universe. To help with weight and ride stiffness, the fork is composed of carbon fiber with an alloy steerer tube.
Groupset
The Vecteur 100 is outfitted with the ever-popular Shimano 105 group set (crank, brake levers, shifters, cassette, and derailleurs). Shimano is responsible for outfitting the bicycles of many of the top riders in Tour de France, including 2013 overall winner Chris Froome.
Components
The Vecteur 100 is outfitted with an alloy stem, handlebars, and seat post from Ritchey components, one of the most trusted names in cycling componentry. The fully outfitted Vecteur 100 comes stock with aluminum wheels from Shimano, known as the Shimano R500, combined with 700x23c Maxxis road tires.
Ready To Ride
The VeloVie Vecteur 100 comes “just about” ready to ride. With a professional assembly already complete, all you have to do is attached the front wheel, the handlebars, and the seat post. It’s always good to have a bicycle mechanic give it a once-over before riding, but the assembly itself is nearly zero!
