Vitesse 400 (Blue / Black) TEST

This is a racer's bike.

The Vitesse 400 is built to be stiff and aggressive, so that when the moment comes to attack, it gives you back everything you put into it.

Our specialist have been working with our Carbon Axis Formula for years to come up with the best ways to increase rigidity and to reduce weight. The result is the 400. It features a tapered head tube, an aerodynamic top tube, internal cable routing, short chainstays, and the new PF30 bottom bracket. Pair the Vitesse with SRAM's Red gruppo and you will have a lightweight racing machine at the height of cycling technology.

Tapered Headtube

Being narrow at top and wider at the bottom allows us to keep the standard stem size, while giving us the room for a oversized downtube. It also allows a fork with a wider steer tube, which increase the strength and stiffness of the front end of the bike.

Oversized downtube

When it come to tubing, wider is stiffer. The downtube is 54mm wide and is responsible for the snappy response and great control that the 400 delivers.

Internal Cable Routing

By running the cable through the frame, we reduce drag and keep the cables out of harms way. Plus it gives the bike a nice clean look.

Narrow Seatstays

The seatstays on the 400 do more with less. Being a smaller diameter they allow just the right amount of flex help smooth out the road.

PF30 Bottom Bracket

"This is a new design led by SRAM. It's all the best from BB30 and Press-Fit bottom brackets in one captivating package. This bottom bracket is designed for 30mm spindle cranksets. The key difference with PressFit 30 is how the bearings are fitted into the frame. Bearings are housed in nylon cups which will be pressed into the frames bottom bracket shell. PressFit 30 will feature an integrated seal, pre-assembled into the cups, to further prolong bearing life. Frames will need a 46mm inner-diameter bottom bracket shell to accommodate this system. PressFit 30 for road will require a 68mm wide shell while PressFit 30 for MTB will require a 73mm wide shell. Advantages: Huge weight savings, narrow Q-factor, more ankle clearance, greater bearing durability, stiffer/stronger crank construction, simple installation. Allows for larger diameter frame tubes increasing frame stiffness."-SRAM

Right now I don’t know of a better price point from a domestic brand.
