Veloce 500 w/ SRAM Red 22

Lean and mean. Make no bones about it.

The highly advanced and progressive Veloce 500 is all about performance. Aerodynamics play a massive part in triathlon and time-trial racing, and the full-carbon Veloce 500 is built around those principles. It is responsive, light, and still comfortable as it eats up those typical road vibrations.

The frame geometry is built for maximum aerodynamics, supported by the classic VeloVie Carbon Axis Formula. The headtube features a diamondhead shaped crown to start splitting the impending wind. Move to the toptube, where you’ll find front-to-back descending V-blade to channel air, while the underside of the toptube features a down-pointing V-shape to lead nicely into the rear of the frame. Back up front, the carbon bladed fork hides a rear-mounted TRP brake caliper for maximum aerodynamics. The downtube features a tall and thin, blade-like shape, keeping flex at an absolute minimum. Towards the rear, a stout fin flows off of the seat tube to channel air off of the wheel, flanked by powerful seat stays, and wrapped up with tall and strong chain stays. Finally, a TRP rear facing brake located at the bottom of the seat tube.

The cockpit of the Veloce 500 features a carbon seat post and bars. The bars snug down deep into the diamondshaped heatube and V-blade toptube, creating a low and tight fit to continue the aerodynamics. The seatpost features a “roll system” to provide flexibility in forward and backward saddle shifting, to match the saddle position preferences of every rider. With adjustable rear facing dropouts and a replaceable derailleur hanger, we have the rider experience in mind. Capped off with dual-bottle mounts on the frame and “just enough” exposed cable housing to make traveling and re-assembling the bicycle something that doesn’t take away precious training time.

The Veloce 500 comes dressed in an “all-business” UD finish with traditional VeloVie red accents highlighting some of the more aerodynamic turns and bends in the frame. The complete bicycle is available with a GXP-built SRAM Apex, Force 22, or Red 22; a “good, better, best” trim package option to cater to your powertrain desires. Available with 4-different option of Reynolds wheel choices to fit your riding style.

Veloce 500

When we re-introduced SRAM RED in 2012 there was simply nothing more we could add to make it better.

SRAM RED was all new, redesigned throughout, with innovations we’ve spent the past year touting and our athletes proving. It was loaded with features and benefits that matched the needs of professionals: fast, light, aerodynamic, ergonomic, near-silent, and, of course, trim-less, with ground breaking Yaw™ technology. Adding two more gears to that combination was arguably the only improvement required. The added benefit is that now, without adding weight, we maintain a system that shifts incredibly fast upfront, and with the best and smoothest gear transitions in back. And, for the first time available anywhere, the system gives you twenty-two gears. No compromise and no trim, what we’re calling True 22, in any gear combination. Welcome to SRAM RED 22.
