“Balance and the Beast” is the thesis of the Vitesse 500. Ready to race or take to a group ride.
When you roll it all together, you get a nimble, snappy ride. This all starts with the aerodynamics of the tubing; sloping top-tube, tear-shaped seat tube, and flowing down tube. The tapered headtube provides strength in powerful turns and descents, and features a subtly elongated height, allowing for tremendous comfort gains without the sacrifice. The chain stays are tall and beefy, connected to a powerful bottom bracket. Triangular seat stays increase in power towards the wheel, with a strong and thick apex where the top tube meets the seat tube.
The ride is smooth and powerful, without the rigidity that can make a longer ride a bore. Reliable, when you need the zip to get out of the saddle and attack, then stability when you’re breaking the speed limit on a big descent. And the sloping top tube provides a powerful compact geometry to maximize your output and get the most out of every pedal stroke.
Carbon Axis Technology is VeloVie’s proprietary method of carbon fiber construction. In using such a method, we’ve become artists; splash a little stiffness here, little stroke of comfort over there, a little aerodynamics right there. Like an artist doing a painting with his palette in hand; but we don’t use paint, we use carbon.
The Vitesse 500 comes dressed in an “all-business” UD finish with traditional VeloVie red accents highlighting some of the more elegant turns and bends in the frame. The complete bicycle is available with a BB30-built SRAM Apex, Force 22, or Red 22; a “good, better, best” trim package option to cater to your powertrain desires. Available with 4-different option of Reynolds wheel choices and a choice of alloy or carbon cockpit from FSA.
